OUR FOREVER FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

The Children of Botswana is a Humanitarian Photography Archive created to help educate Botswana's Disadvantage and HIV/AIDS Children. Starting in June 2007 throughout November 2009, 40 children (ages 8-17), social workers from SOS, Volunteers from the Anglican Diocese of Botswana (mainly moms) and Photographer, Filmmaker, Annelize Bester photographed Botswana.

We chose the plastic Holga Camera and shot with Kodak Tri-X medium format film. This particular camera was chosen not only for its ease of use, but also for its intrinsic poetic rendition of the reality before it.

TAISBA [The Anglican International Schools of Botswana, Africa]

Think Tank Thuto defined 21st Century Education for TAISBA from 2005 to 2013. In 2012 everyone's work culminated in Michel Cavro's Blue Sky Visuals for the future 600 student Boarding School in Mathangwane, Botswana, Africa.

Everyone, who has worked in collaboration with the THUTO foundation in planning TAISBA, falls under the name of Think Tank Thuto: Mahasti Afshar  and Explore.Org's Charlie (Main Vision); The Art Center's Robert Peterson (Communication Material); The Botswana Anglican Education Committee headed by Rt. Rev Trevor Mwamba and Professor John Melamu; the MBA USC Marshall Team supervised by David Belasco and Lida Jennings; ARUP, Los Angeles and Botswana; The Team from Queens University, Canada organized by Lara Wharton (Sustainable Building Practices for Mathangwane, Botswana, Africa); and The Masters of Public Health UCLA Team organized by Dr. Claudia Emami (School Based Health Clinics).

Thank-you for helping ~ Annelize Bester.
